About Me
I’ve been fortunate to spend more than 25 years working in the music industry, with the last 15 years focused on concert photography.
Over that time, my work has appeared in a variety of music publications, including Metal Injection, BraveWords, Terrorizer, Lords of Metal, and many others. I’m also a co-owner of Allfather Metal, where I help manage the publication while continuing to contribute photography, interviews, and editorial content.
Photography has given me the opportunity to travel and document artists, concerts, and festivals around the world, including Hellfest, Beyond the Gates, Midgardsblot, Dark Easter Metal Meeting, Heavy Montréal, Messe des Morts, and many more. Along the way, I’ve also had the chance to film artist interviews and music videos, helping tell the stories behind the music and the people who create it.
In addition to my photography work, I write the Smoke and Steel column, a series dedicated to highlighting concert photographers from around the world and sharing their experiences, perspectives, and creative journeys.
While I enjoy photographing all genres of music, black metal holds a special place for me. The atmosphere, emotion, and visual storytelling that surround the genre continue to inspire much of my work, and some of my favorite images have come from capturing those moments on stage.
My path through the industry has included work in publicity, music distribution, concert promotion, and label representation. Those experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for the many people who work behind the scenes to make music possible. Photography allows me to combine that lifelong connection to music with a passion for documenting the artists, fans, and moments.
